Dr. Brianna Rhue grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she was a competitive dancer and cheerleader. Her interest in optometry began in third grade when she, a young myope, was fitted with contact lenses by a local optometrist, sparking her passion for eye care.

She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Arizona, where she was also a cheerleader, and received her doctorate in optometry from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her residency in ocular disease at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Dr. Rhue is now the owner and doctor at West Broward Eyecare Associates and the co-founder and CEO of Dr. Contact Lens, which ranked 41st on the Inc 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing companies in the country. She practices full-scope optometry with a focus on myopia management and enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses for patients with keratoconus and other corneal conditions. She also shares her expertise in the business side of optometry through presentations on creating myopia management practices and improving team efficiency with specialized software.

Her mentors include a diverse group of professionals who have influenced her throughout her career, including her husband, Dr. Joshua Pasol, and many colleagues in optometry.

One of the most pivotal moments in her career was meeting Dr. Gustavo Garmizo during her residency, which led to a significant career shift.

Dr. Rhue is particularly excited about advancements in myopia management, presbyopia, and the integration of technology to enhance patient care beyond office hours.

Her typical day involves managing her practice, seeing patients, and overseeing operations at Dr. Contact Lens. She balances her professional life with family time, exercise, and personal development through reading and podcasts.
