Eric Bran, OD

In 2004, Dr. Eric Bran was one of the first consultants hired by Dr. Gary Gerber, the founder of The Power Practice.

Eric believed optometry offered the perfect combination of medical care and helping people improve their lives. He followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and uncle, both optometrists. Eric graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, where his interest in sports vision and specialty contact lenses developed.

Eric is currently a partner at Ridgefield Family Eye Care and The Institute for Sports Vision in Ridgefield, Connecticut. Dr. Bran enjoys focusing on pediatric care, vision therapy, and myopia management, as well as sports vision training for athletes of all abilities.

In his own practice, as well as the practices he works with, Eric spends a great deal of time working on strategic goal development, marketing and practice growth, and the future vision of the practice. Team-building and culture development are areas in which Eric excels. Eric is quick to recognize people’s strengths and works with all staff members to build high-achieving teams and practices.

Eric gets great joy from spending time with his family. Whether hiking or biking with his family locally or on trips around the country, they are always active. Even beach vacations involve very little sitting still…there are always waves to catch.
